Packing and Shipping Instruments
Instruments must be packed with care to avoid movement of the instrument and to protect the bridge. The photo above shows a violin prior to boxing. Note that pieces of foam rubber have been put between the center strings to help protect the bridge. The extra cushioning along the ribs provides protection to prevent damage by most common shippers.

When shipping cellos, please remove the strings, bridge and tailpiece and place them in a bag in the pocket of the case.
