You may be a better player than you think! Our customers often find that when they try out our instruments and bows they find themselves playing differently. Sometimes a difficult passage that they’ve been working hard on perfecting suddenly falls into place merely because they are using a better bow. Also, simple maintenance issues like sound post adjustments, fresh strings and bow hair can make a huge difference in the performance quality of your instrument. When it really is time to upgrade, our trade-in policy allows any instrument which was originally sold by us to be traded back to us at the original purchase price (*minus a nominal reconditioning fee), assuming it is in the same condition, regardless of whether you are the original purchaser! Better quality bows may also retain their value for trade-in purposes. It’s easy to arrange to play instruments and bows for a trial period, whether you live around the corner or across the nation. We recommend that you work closely with your teacher; scheduling a time for them to help you review your trial items. If your teacher is registered with we will know what type of sound they prefer as well as their recommendations for the type of bows, chinrests, strings and adjustments they expect. If not, we will be happy to call them and go over their preferences so that the instruments and bows we send out to you will match their standards. |
